A collection of unreleased songs, session versions, and demos from 2010-2018 by Portland, Oregon's Wild Ones.

Now You Know: Wild Ones were a very special band who managed to combine dream pop with r&b, dance, and indie rock and somehow sound like no one else. First heard on a compilation CD in a borrowed car, first seen playing a banh mi spot on a weeknight, Wild Ones soundtracked the casually cinematic moments of our lives. Whether or not you were listening to them at the time they were making this music, a Wild Ones song almost certainly would perfectly score your drive through the city at night with a crush, a walk across an empty schoolyard sports field at dawn, or through a green park at twilight, or perhaps a T-shirt feels-just-right bike ride on a summer night. Whether heard looking at rain on windows reflecting the glow of street lamps, as dappled sun streams through leaves, or as frost diamonds sparkle on the sidewalk, this is music for a time and place where you feel everything.

The Selected Songs series seeks to shine extra light on artists from the present and past. Each volume serves as a curated primer to an artist’s catalog, or a hand-picked selection of an artist’s lost or forgotten songs.

The series is released by Antiquated Future Records and designed by Two Plum Press. Printed in editions of 300 gold-ticket cassettes, each volume is packaged in letterpress and offset-print boxes by Stumptown Printers Worker Cooperative, accompanied by Whatnow Press/Precision Images risograph/inkjet booklets with personal essays by curators Andrew Barton and Joshua James Amberson to give context to the artist’s work.
